Matchmaker Lauren Holbrook is happy after putting together four successful couples. That is, until the tables are turned and she’s on the receiving end of the matchmaking! Lauren and her boyfriend, Ryan, devise a plan to make it look as if they’ve broken up so people will get off their backs about marriage. No problem, right? That is, of course, until Lauren realizes she’s in love.

Match Point a Lauren Holbrook novel Book 3 The Lauren Holbrook series edition by Erynn Mangum Religion Spirituality eBooks

This was my second series by Ms. Mangum and I enjoyed it just as much! I love the way her characters are so funny, quirky, and addicted to coffee and chocolate! The main character Lauren has quite the original personality and is obsessed with matchmaking. She is beloved even though she drives everyone around her crazy. She is great at making everyone else's match, but is hopeless at recognizing her own. Woven through each story are scriptures of encouragement and faith. Great, sweet read!

Match Point a Lauren Holbrook novel Book 3 The Lauren Holbrook series edition by Erynn Mangum Religion Spirituality eBooks Reviews

This author does a marvelous job with character development and does so with lots of humor. My teenage daughter and I have both loved this series. Her spiritual insight is also great.
I've looked into other books by the author, but it looks like her characters are all very similar. We'll keep watching to see though. We really enjoyed her writing!! Be sure to read all three in this series.
As a reviewer I get so many novels for free that I rarely buy books, but after reading the first book of this series, I had to have them all so I *gasp* spent money! Delightful reads with great movement and character development. Light-hearted and just what the doctor ordered for encouragement, chuckles, and healing laughter. The spiritual content was intrinsic to the character and tone of the book, and I found it refreshing. I highly recommend this author and the entire Holbrook Series. Sometimes subsequent books in a series are a disappointment, but not in this series! Start with book one, and read all three.
I am both extremely happy and very sad to have finished this book. It was a perfect ending to a perfect series! Over the course of the books I have fallen in love with all the characters and all of their quirks. I'll be starting on another of Erynn's books as soon as I finish this review. I hope you all enjoy them as much as I did!
This one was slightly more painful than the other two. The dialogue was stilted and I found myself skimming. We have all lived wedding planning and I have no need to plan the minutia of someone else's wedding. I found this one too obvious with none of the tension of the first book. Also, the author didn't really make us feel the chemistry very well between the couple. Lastly, the author has obviously never bought a home or she would know you can't close on a house within days of bidding on it. Overall it was a C- for me
This, finally for those who have already read the first two books in the series Miss Match (Lauren Holbrook Series, Book 1) and Rematch (Lauren Holbrook Series, Book 2), is the story of Laurie and Ryan. Laurie's part-time day job is taking photographs at the studio of her life-long best friend Brandon and his new wife Hannah. Ryan works in construction building and remodeling houses. The story picks up with her Dad and Joan already married and the marriage of Brandon and Hannah having recently taken place after a one year engagement. This story revolves around the matchmaker, Laurie, finally going to the altar. There are some unpredictable events thrown in to keep life interesting and provide laugh-out-loud moments. There are less Jane Austen references entwined in the story but there is an Elvis reference incorporated by the end of the story. Christ still shines through with scriptural references and through the life of the characters. If you are looking for a light hearted, fun, quick read you will enjoy this book. A note for readers this book is better formatted and includes a table of contents, unlike the first two books in the series.
In this third and final book, Laurie's relationship with Ryan changes. He goes from being her boyfriend for the last year and a half to... possibly something more? For once, she's on the receiving end of match-making schemes from her now happily married friends that she matched. In the process, she really starts to grow up. Sort of. As much as Lauren Holbrook will ever grow up.

The romance in this third book is light and sweet. Again, the dialog is fun and zany, setting a fast pace for the book.

I was very satisfied with the conclusion of the series and thought this was the best one. Looking forward to reading more Erynn Magnum.
So when I was first looking at this author (and this series in particular) I almost read this book 1st. Reason It was SO much cheaper than the other books!! And i'm just cheap, plain and simple.

But I'm so glad I didn't. So glad I started with the 1st one and read them in order. I'm sure these are great stand alone books but much much better as a series. You love Laurie and Ryan so much by this third book that you're absolutely dying to know what happens.

So you know when you're reading a contemporary romance and all the dialogue is perfect (and completely unrealistic) between the 2 main characters? Not so here. And I actually loved that about it! I could relate so so closely to Laurie! "Love" didn't feel like what I thought it would. And my boyfriend (now husband) definitely wasn't romantic like I thought he would be. But it was still beautiful. Still honored God. And I enjoyed that the love story here was so real and "common."

Something else I loved about the book~ You got every juicy detail you wish you got in every other book. Don't you hate when you're reading a book, and finally, FINALLY at the end the couple reveals to one another that they love each other, and SMACK- The End. Sometimes you get a tiny little Epilogue but otherwise. Nada. You gruel through 400 pages to get one smile at the end and that's it. It's like looking at a gigantic birthday cake and being told you can only eat one sprinkle of it. This book is how I wish all books were. There's MORE! I felt so satisfied at the end. I mean, of course I fell in love with all the characters so I'd LOVE to read more books about all of them, but even without ever hearing more, Mangum wrote the book so well that you can already feel what beautiful things were ahead for the characters.
Reading this was like getting the gigantic birthday cake all for yourself. Al a mode. With a venti cup of coffee. ;-)

Definite must read in this series!
